Banana Cream Pie
I am a chocoholic through and through, but the grocery store I frequent serves a rather disgusting chocolate cream pie. Something about the pudding, it's not chocolatey enough. So when they are on sale and I'm in the mood, I get banana instead.
It is lip-smacking good, soooo good. The shortbread crust has a simple crunch to it, must be sugar. The banana pudding is smooth, cold, and just the right banana taste. Now, I'm not thrilled about fruit slices in my foods, and the layer between the pudding and the crust is fresh banana, but there are only a few, maybe one or two per slice. Then there's the whipped cream topping that is firm and not too sweet, which seals the deliciousness in. And with a cold glass of milk...OMG!!! ;)
Yes, I know this has nothing to do with writing, but this pie deserves to be mentioned, deserves to be praised. So tomorrow I will talk about Jack, Angela, my outline, the synopsis, the syno contest on RD... Today, is all about the pie!!!

What do you mean it has nothing to do with writing? It doesn't? I thought it was one of the writer's food groups.
Right--Bread, vegetables, coffee and chocolate--the four food groups for writers.
OMG. Now I'm craving a banana cream pie.
Nice how you got vegetables in that list, Jen. Gotta have them after all that coffee and chocolate.
I'd send you a slice Lynn, but I don't think it would travel well. ;) I remember that Atlanta heat too.
