A Day of...

Well I completed my hero's GMC last night and expected a productive day today.

Not! :)

I spent most of the day picking out books from the Mystery Guild Book Club. It literally took me all day...well with the constant interruptions and the site's inability to keep my choices in my cart long enough. The humidity is unbelievable, and I do not do well in any temperature over 70 degrees. Grumpy is a mild description.

So, I ended up convincing myself that spending $23 on 7 books is not only fun but educational...research. Normally I stick to paperbacks because they are cheaper and I prefer them, but I hate waiting for my fav authors to go to soft. I haven't read anything by my favorites in some time, so I ordered:

* Velocity by Dean Koontz

* Mary, Mary by James Patterson (love Alex Cross)

* Alone by Lisa Gardner (new author for me)

* In The Dark Of The Night by John Saul (released in July)

* Vanished by Karen Robards (another new author but it sounds delish)

* Prior Bad Acts by Tami Hoag (my favorite RS author so far)

* All Night Long by Jayne Anne Krentz (another new)

I just finished this, and now I am too tired to do any writing. I attempted to start the syno last night but it was so horrible. I'm hoping it will start to flow as I get into it. I also hope for a day without distractions or children calling my name, a day with no humidity and silence in the world. Since I won't get most of those, guess I better be prepared to sit downstairs tomorrow, put on the headset and sweat, while everyone around me needs vies for my attention. A nice cool cave sounds great right about now!

Drip. Drip. Drip. *Sigh*
My synopsis is done. It's pretty awful. I sure hope you get some "Jenn time" today. Stay cool.
